No towers, different problems
Everything that makes moving in Downtown or the Marina difficult is absent in Jumeirah. There are no permits to apply for, no four-hour lift windows, no loading bays shared between three towers. You choose the date and we turn up.
What Jumeirah has instead is a street-access question. The residential roads behind Jumeirah Beach Road are narrow, and villa gates and driveways vary enormously. Occasionally the right answer is a smaller truck and more trips rather than one large vehicle that cannot turn around.
Established homes hold more than you think
The defining feature of a Jumeirah move is volume. These are homes people have lived in for years, with garages, store rooms, maid’s rooms and gardens that have quietly filled up. A five-bedroom villa here regularly surveys larger than a five-bedroom villa in a newer community.
That is why these are always on-site surveys, and why we walk the garden, the garage and the store room rather than just the living space. The garden alone — patio furniture, barbecues, planters, play equipment — is frequently half a truck.

Almost certainly not. Independent villas have no shared service lift and no building management, so there is nothing to permit. That makes Jumeirah one of the few places in Dubai where you can genuinely pick your own moving date rather than working around a slot.
Sometimes not, and it is better to establish that at survey than at 7am. Where access is tight we use a smaller vehicle and run more trips, which costs a little more in time but avoids a truck stuck at the end of the road. We look at the approach as well as the house.

We are based in Motor City, which puts Jumeirah about 25 minutes away in normal traffic. Surveys can usually be arranged the same day, and short-notice moves are often possible outside the end-of-month rush.

Full packing usually adds 30–50% on top. Those are market ranges, not our quote — the real number depends on volume, packing, lift access and the day of the month. Usually because they are quoting different jobs. A low number often excludes packing materials, furniture dismantling, or the second man needed for a walk-up. It may also assume a weekday outside month-end. Ask every company for a written scope, not just a price, and compare what is actually included. If a quote is given without anyone seeing your rooms or a video of them, treat it as a starting figure rather than a price.
For almost every apartment in Dubai, yes. Building or community management issues a move-in or move-out permit, and security can refuse to let a moving crew in without one — even if you own the unit outright. You normally need your tenancy contract or title deed, your Emirates ID, and the moving company's trade licence and insurance certificate. Apply five to seven days ahead; Downtown and Marina towers are the strictest. We prepare the company-side paperwork for you.
