Sometimes you do not need a whole move — you need a wardrobe taken apart, carried down eleven floors and rebuilt. We do single items and full homes, and the furniture is protected properly either way.

Where furniture actually gets damaged
Almost never in transit. Furniture gets damaged in doorways, on stair turns, and against lift walls — the tight points on the route between the room and the truck. Which is why protection goes on before anything is lifted, and why we cover the route as well as the item.
The second most common cause is being moved fully assembled when it should have been taken apart. A wardrobe carried whole through a doorway that barely fits it is a wardrobe with a scraped side and a stressed frame. Ten minutes of dismantling avoids both.
Dismantling and putting it back
Beds, wardrobes, dining tables, desks and most modular units come apart cleanly. As each piece is dismantled its fixings go into a bag, the bag is labelled, and the bag is taped to the piece it belongs to. That sounds obvious; the number of moves where the screws end up in one communal box is the reason it is worth saying.
What we cannot take apart is anything fitted. Built-in wardrobes, fixed shelving and kitchen units are part of the property rather than your furniture, and removing them is a contractor’s job with the landlord’s permission — not a mover’s.
A note on flat-pack
A lot of furniture in Dubai apartments is flat-pack, because a lot of it was bought for a two-year tenancy. Taking it apart and rebuilding it is usually fine once. By the third move, cam-lock fittings in particleboard have often lost enough grip that the piece is noticeably less solid, and occasionally a panel gives up entirely.
We will tell you which of your pieces are in that category before we start. Sometimes the sensible answer is to move it and accept the risk; sometimes it is cheaper to replace a wardrobe than to move it. That is your call to make with the information, not ours to make quietly.

Frequently asked questions
Sometimes not, and it is better to hear that now. Particleboard furniture assembled with cam locks loses grip each time it is taken apart — the second or third rebuild is often noticeably less rigid. Solid wood and better-quality flat-pack are usually fine. We will look at what you have and tell you honestly which category it falls into.
Yes. Single-item moves are a normal booking, not a favour. Two people, a suitable vehicle, protection on the route, and it is usually done inside a couple of hours.
We measure at survey where we can, because "it came in somehow" is not always a guide — sometimes it came in before a wall went up. If a piece genuinely will not come out through the door or the lift, the options are partial dismantling, a balcony lift with specialist equipment, or leaving it. We would rather establish that beforehand.
Yes, and they stay with the furniture. Screws, cams and dowels go in a labelled bag taped to the piece they came from. It is the single most common thing to lose in a move and the most annoying to replace.
Not as part of a furniture move — wall mounting is a handyman job needing drilling into someone's wall, and it often needs the landlord's permission. We will transport the TV and the bracket safely and tell you what you need arranged.
